Tempo-Calculation for Dance Music

Here you find a program to calculate the tempo of music which is divided into phrases of 8 beats. And meanwhile it also can calculate the tempo of waltz music. You may download it from here (size: 49 KB), and then unpack and use it offline.

(It will run in a DOS window under Windows 98. It will not run under Windows XP. That 's progress, not improvement.)

The program works this way:
- You select the category where to store the result
- You type in the title.
- You play the music and start counting:

1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8

If you are confident with the phrasing, hit any key on count 1, and so on eight times; then the program will calculate the tempo, and - after your consent - store it in the respective file.

If you want to try the German version too, you should unpack it in a different subdirectory, or the English version would be overwritten.
